Instaling Light of Alariya2/6/2024 Three ensembles gathered across two days to record the pieces. This time, though, that perfect harmony was amplified thanks to a $2,500 Engaged Learning grant, which enabled 32 musicians plus a composer to take part in the first live orchestra recording session in the history of this collaboration. For more than a decade, undergraduate students from Meadows School of the Arts have been composing and recording music and voiceover for games designed and produced by graduate students at SMU Guildhall. In the fall of 2022, 32 musicians and a composer from the SMU Meadows School of the Arts took part in a live orchestra recording session, which resulted in music for two SMU Guildhall video games: Conjury Revell and Light of Alariya. The soundtrack was made in collaboration with a talented group of music students at SMU's Meadows School of the Arts culminating in a recorded performance with a live studio orchestra. Project Information Light of Alariya was developed over a 6-month production timeline from May to December 2022 by a team of 27 master's students from SMU Guildhall as part of the program's capstone Team Game Project (TGP) curriculum, along with 26 musicians and voice talent from SMU Meadows School of the Arts. This album contains six original tracks featured in Light of Alariya, an open-world game made by the students at SMU Guildhall.
